I edited this video application that helped create history, Portugal's first marine protected area of the 21st century, officially established in November 2023. The Parque Natural Marinho do Recife do Algarve - Pedra do Valado protects the Algarve region's largest coastal rocky reef, a unique ecosystem and the region's most important marine nursery. Working with Chimera Visuals, I handled editing, color grading, and graphics for this collaborative initiative that united the Oceano Azul Foundation, CCMAR, and three municipalities with 76 different organizations.
What made this project special was knowing our visual storytelling helped communicate the value of these waters to local communities and decision-makers, contributing to real environmental protection that will benefit generations to come.
